William is home!

After much prayer and discussion with the doctors, Friday, we were released from the hospital. William has increased his feeds from 40mL every 3 hours to around 60mL. He no longer has the NG tube and we are working on increasing the amount of food to 70mL. We do not know how long we will be able to remain at home. As long as we can keep William from becoming dehydrated and keep his electrolytes in normal range, we can stay at home. We also need him to gain weight, or most importantly keep him from losing weight.

We will be seeing his Nephrologist and his Pediatrician this upcoming week to determine if he is making enough progress at home. Please pray we get good reports from both doctors. Our first appointment will be Tuesday.

If at any point William is not progressing, our next step will be going to Children’s Hospital for evaluation of the G-tube.

We are thrilled to be home with our son and are cherishing this time. Your prayers, calls, messages and support have been greatly appreciated.

1 Chronicles 29:13 Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name.
