COME TO ME ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND CARRY HEAVY BURDENS AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. Matthew 11:28

Welcome to the Praying for William page. William is the son of Kaylee and Matchett Gunn, who is due to be born on February 24. Recently it was discovered that their sweet baby William has kidney disease.

While a final diagnosis is not possible until delivery, the doctors have asked them to be prepared for a difficult outcome. Due to the kidney disorder Kaylee’s amniotic fluid is low and will continue to decrease in the weeks leading up to delivery. Obviously the best place for William to remain, until the fluid level doesn’t allow, is in his mother’s womb. This means his birth date will be evaluated week by week as they visit their doctor. Please pray that William will be able to remain inside of Kaylee for at least 36 weeks. Kaylee and Matchett believe in the power of prayer and, along with William, need your prayers.

This website is a platform to share updates about William’s life in the coming weeks, months and years. It will also serve as a forum for friends and family to leave encouraging messages and prayers for the family. This will allow all those who love and support Kaylee, Matchett and William to let them know that they are not alone on this journey, and to encourage them as they work to provide William with the care that he needs.

Due to uncertainty surrounding William’s birth date, special events such as baby showers are not possible. It saddens us that Kaylee and Matchett are missing out on some of the fun and excitement that other new parents experience, and many of us want to help but don’t know how. So, in lieu of a traditional baby shower, we have listed some things that they still need to finish preparing for their son. Also listed are ways to help them before and after William makes his entrance into this world.

“Do not be anxious but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requirements to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds.” Philippians 4:6-7

Thank you in advance for your prayers and continued support for this sweet little family. Our God is an awesome God and we will stand strong and lean on Him.

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31

“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
